GENERAL FINANCING
Haryana Schedule Caste Finance & development Corporation is working for the upliftment of the schedule castes since 1971. This corporation provides subsidy & Margin money in various income generating scheme lime Agriculture & Allied Sector (2) Trade & Business Sector (3) Industrial Sector (4) Professional & Self-Employment Sector. As per guidelines issued by the Govt. of India, this corporation provides benefit to only those beneficiaries whose family Annual Income does not exceed Rs. 12000 in urban area & 10500 in Rural Area. Subsidy is provided 50% maximum Rs. 6000 & margin money @ 25% of the total project cost by the corporation. Under this scheme during 1999-2000 253 families have been assisted with a total amount of Rs.48.65 lac which include 16.10 lac subsidy, 6.26 lac margin money and Rs.25.32 lac as Bank Loan.
LOANS FOR PURCHASE OF VEHICLES
The corporation is providing direct loan to the Scheduled Caste beneficiaries for the purchase of TATA-407, Mohindera Jeep, three-wheeler (Diesel) & Maruti Van on a interest rate @ 7% per annum. This Scheme is implemented with the help of National Scheduled caste Finance & Development Corporation, New Delhi. A family having annual of Rs.23700/- in urban area and Rs. 22000/- per annum in rural area is eligible for the benefits of this scheme.
NATIONAL SCHEME FOR LIBERATION & REHABILITATION OF SCAVENGERS
The Corporation has been entrusted the work of National Scheme of Liberation & Rehabilitation of Scavengers & their dependents. Under this scheme loans upto Rs. 50000 to the Balmiki Community who are involved in the work of scavenging. A subsidy upto Rs. 10000/- & Margin money @ 15% of the total project cost is available under this scheme for the target group families.
During the year 1999-2000 223 families have been provided financial assistance of Rs.32.51 lac for their liberation and rehabilitation from scavenging occupation. The amount includes subsidy at Rs.9.96 lac and Bank Loan of Rs.10.84 lac. Since inception of the scheme, total 1041 families have been provided financial assistance of Rs.156.14 lac which includes 68.13 lac subsidy, 23.59 lac margin money by the department and a sum of Rs.64.12 lac as bank loan.
381 scavengers & their dependents were given training in different schemes on which a sum of Rs. 7.55 lacs has been spent
